VIDEO: Elementary Kids Perform Anti-Bullying Rap

Schools are getting creative in addressing behavior problems.

With bullying incidents cropping up at schools across the country, and even being blamed for suicides in recent years, one school has decided to start addressing the phenomenon early — and creatively.

Complete with hats, oversized sunglasses and quasi-running-man moves, all of West Elementary School’s students recently lined the building’s hallways to perform an anti-bullying rap that sounds like it’s especially focused on harassment based on race.

The lyrics:

Listen up, hear what I’m putting down

Doesnt matter if youre black, white, red or brown

If you wanna be smart then you gotta know the rules

We dont do bullying at our school

They won’t be giving Ron Clark Academy’s “You Can Vote However You Like” kids any competition when it comes to rhythm and stage presence, but if it works to keep kids happy and safe, we’re all for it.
