Rahm Can Run for Chicago Mayor

Former White House chief of staff meets residency requirements.

The Illinois Supreme Court has ruled that former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel meets the residency requirements to remain on the ballot in Chicago's mayoral race. This reverses a lower court's decision that he was ineligible to run because he moved to D.C. two years ago.
