Jeffrey Brown of PBS NewsHour reported on the "How Sweet the Sound" choir competition, which brought more than 12,000 gospel singers and fans to Washington, D.C., this year.

Check out the Voices of Destiny choir from the Greater Zion Church Family in Compton, Calif., winners of the top prize of best church choir and a check for $25,000 for its performance of Kurt Carr's "My Time for God's Favor." (You will need Flash 9 to view)
