It came as no surprise.

Auburn's quarterback Cam Newton was awarded the 76th Heisman Trophy in New York City on Saturday night. He received more than 80 percent of the first-place votes.

"Honestly, it's a dream come true for me, something every child has a dream [about] that plays the sport of football, and I'm living testimony that anything is possible," Newton said.

But there is a question as to whether Newton will get to keep his trophy. The NCAA determined that Cecil Newton, Cam's father, attempted a pay-for-play deal for his son at Mississippi State University. His father was not in attendance at the Heisman Trophy ceremony so as to not attract too much attention. The NCAA has not found any evidence to suggest that Cam Newton knew about the deal.
