Essence.com Uses First Lesbian Couple in Wedding Feature

With marriage equality -- in precious few localities, of course -- comes wedding photos featuring beautiful same-sex couples. Essence.com highlighted its very first lesbian couple on the site's Bridal Bliss feature today. The story on the couple, who married in Washington, D.C., is accompanied by a gallery of the glamorous event. Brides Aisha Mills and Danielle Moody told Essence.com that they had planned to wed in Connecticut, where their marriage would be legal, but were thrilled when marriage equality became a reality in their hometown of D.C. late last year so that they could plan their wedding there. A happy ending for a beautiful couple!
