Is New York State the New Dixie?

New York State Republican House Candidate Jim Russell's racist musings give New York State a black eye.

It looks like New York State is trying to become the new Dixie. First Carl Paladino is neck and neck with Andrew Cuomo in gubernatorial polls, and now this? GOP leaders have denounced the candidacy of New York Republican House Candidate Jim Russell after an essay that Russell wrote espousing racist ideas in the fringe publication Occidental Quarterly surfaced. Even though the GOP in New York has asked Russell to withdraw, he is marching on, giving interviews and refusing to give up his political quest. Check out his interview with the Regional News Network as he tries to sidestep his anti-Semitic comments and stance against interracial "socialization." This crackpot is giving the Republican Party and New York State a black eye. We're just waiting for him to break out in a rendition of "Dixie" at any moment.
