Clutch Magazine: Gabby Sidibe's Elle Cover Needs a Black Fashion Director

Sidibe's wig leaves a lot to be desired.

Gabourey Sidibe's Elle Cover

Clutch Magazine's Geneva S. Thomas is hopping mad at Elle magazine's decision to put indie darling Gabby Sidibe in a wig gone wrong for the cover. Thomas, who was excited about Gabby being on the cover, was horrified to find that they had put her girl in a weave that "looks like an old used up brillo pad that has seen too many greasy pots and too many anti-humidity products." Ouch. Thomas "owns" her words and says that this is an example of why we need black fashion directors. I couldn't agree with that statement more. What do you think?
