In a Vibe magazine interview, hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs called Nightline host Martin Bashir's question about Combs' purchase of a Maybach for his son's 16th birthday racist. Combs stated that rich white people buy their kids expensive cars all the time, and it is never questioned. He said, "It's really a racist question." Perhaps it was a question about parenting and conspicuous consumption, as opposed to race?
