Set to air on HBO July 14, An Omar Broadway Film documents the use of excessive force and corruption in the prison system. Broadway, an incarcerated gang member serving time for a car jacking and other related offenses, sneaked a camera into prison (with the help of two guards) and taped what was happening over the course of six months. Broadway obviously didn't get the memo when he was gang banging and jacking cars that slavery is abolished everywhere in the United States except the prison system. My inner Republican thinks a gang banger/car jacker has a whole lot of nerve to be upset about prison conditions. So sorry, no dap on risking one's life to expose the truth. Much dap on doing something with the information to bring the hypocrisy and injustice to light.
