Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been subpoenaed to testify in the international war crimes tribunal of former Liberian dictator Charles Taylor. Unlike fellow celebrity Mia Farrow, who agreed to testify without drama, Campbell railed against being asked to testify against a "friend." Now the subpoena has arrived, and Campbell's public relations machine is trying to make it look as if she is choosing to shed light on atrocities related to blood diamonds. Yeah, okay. Maybe diamonds aren't a girl's best friend after all?
