Florida Christian-School Teacher Fired for Premarital Sex

Being made an honest woman was not enough for her principal, who asked when the child was conceived.

Fresh from our "Wow file," a former fourth-grade teacher at Southland Christian School in St. Cloud, Florida, was fired for conceiving several weeks before getting married. Oh, the shame -- getting pregnant by your fiance a few weeks before the actual marriage.

When Jaretta Hamilton made the request for maternity leave, she was asked by her boss when the child was actually conceived. When she told him the date, he fired her because it was several weeks before she was actually married. He then told the entire staff of the school and called the parents of all of the students in the class about why she was fired.

Now, that's not very Christ-like. Hamilton is now suing because there was no conduct policy regarding out-of-wedlock sex.  Contrary to popular opinion, a dynamic black woman meets someone, falls in love, actually gets married and is punished for it. Sisters can't win for losing.
