Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua Dies at 58

Yar'Adua died yesterday after battling kidney problems and an inflamed heart issue. He will be buried today.


Nigerian president Umaru Yar'Adua died Wednesday having battled kidney problems and an inflamed heart issue for quite sometime. While Yar-Adua was sick, his vice president assumed control of Nigeria, a controversial transition of power that has been discussed here, on The Root.  The president will be buried today in accordance with his Muslim faith.
