Ridge Claims He Was Pressured into Raising Terror Alerts

When you have a book coming out, it's a good time to tell the truth about stuff you lied about at one time...

According to Paul Bedard of US News & World Report, former Department of Homeland Security Chief Tom Ridge has come clean about certain activities in the Bush White House.

Ridge is deciding to spill some of the beans in his forthcoming tell-all 'The Test of Our Times: America Under Siege...and How We Can Be Safe Again'.

Some of those beans include the following about the Bush White House as re-election rolled around:

[Ridge] was pushed to raise the security alert on the eve of President Bush's re-election, something he saw as politically motivated and worth resigning over.

Maybe he didn't come clean earlier beacuse he needed the health insurance?
