Cynthia Gordy of Essence sits down with Anita Hill, now a professor at Brandeis University and talks shop regarding President Obama's choice in Sonia Sotomayor as a replace for David Souter and the Senate confirmation testimony that made her a hero for women in some circles and a pariah in others. It's been nearly twenty years since she testified against Clarence Thomas and, in this interview, she brings the perspective of an individual who has been affected by controversial events but is not defined by them.
